The Society for the Philosophy of Sex and Love encourages and facilitates the philosophical study of sexuality, gender, love, friendship, marriage, and related topics. It sponsors lectures, workshops, and conferences, and publishes an annual newsletter to supplement scholarly material posted on this web site. Written work by members of the Society addresses a wide range of topics and questions related to sex and love, including conceptual problems, political and ethical matters, the history of the philosophy of sex, and feminist theory.

- Gary Foster, Wilfred Laurier University, will present "Overcoming a Euthyphro Problem in Personal Love: Imagination and Personal Identity," with comments from Joshua Shmikler, Boston College.
- Ingrid Albrecht, University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign, will present "A Kantian Response to Love’s Appeal," with comments from Kate Moran, Brandeis University.
- Cori Wong, Pennsylvania State University, will present "Saving Irigaray? Heterosexist Love and Sexual Difference in Irigaray’s Later Work," with comments from Sarah Donovan, Wagner University.
