The Society for the Philosophy of Sex and Love encourages and facilitates the philosophical study of sexuality, gender, love, friendship, marriage, and related topics. It sponsors lectures, workshops, and conferences, and publishes an annual newsletter to supplement scholarly material posted on this web site. Written work by members of the Society addresses a wide range of topics and questions related to sex and love, including conceptual problems, political and ethical matters, the history of the philosophy of sex, and feminist theory.

In addition, intersex activist and author Hida Viloria will present "Intersex Unplugged," a reading from her forthcoming book, Mighty Hermaphrodite: An Intersex Memoir, and will participate in discussion.
The session is April 2 from 7 to 10 pm, at the Westin St. Francis, San Francisco.
